Good morning!! I love this quote @Olivia_Grace because I believe is completely true
What a view!
Tom, that is prime serenity right there. I hope to operate like that if I find myself in a similar position. Relationships of any kind, personal or otherwise, are still really hard for me. BPD or not, it has become so natural for me to react to any interpersonal friction as a threat to my relationship with them and to my well-being, let alone someone explicitly storming out the metaphorical door after 15 years. It helps me greatly to see people like you remind me with their actions that things turn out okay when we think outside of ourselves and react with serenity.
thanks James! Itās a foreign feeling for me for sure, but something Iām actively working on. And I learned the whole concept here by reading wise folks who speak of things like āyou canāt control what happens, only how you respond to itāā¦and āclean up your side of the streetāā¦and all sorts of other serenity tools. Honestly, it has taken practice! But the more I do it, the easier it becomes to make it my default feeling - itās starting to come more naturally. I have some deeply rooted fears of rejection and abandonment, so my inclination has always been to āburn it all downā when I have interpersonal friction. But slowly I am changing, and I like it!
Goooooood morning and a haaaaaaappy earth rotation to you all!
What? I missed the dance party? Butā¦ butā¦
Itās a beautiful morningā¦ think this picture but brighter and clearer and 13Ā°C with a breezeā¦
@aircircle I loooove that fog! Itās been years since Iāve seen fog in real life. I love how the tranquility of it and how it envelops the land and water. I wish I got to experience it more often.
Good er james
I think it is getting foggier/mistier in the mornings because the air temp is dropping, yet the lake water is warmer than the air in the morning. Itās pretty cool to watch. Youāve got a nice view there!
Good day all. Stay strong. Stay the course.
A donut for your coffees with a viewā¦
That picture needs a fishing rod in it somewhereā¦
Ariel, do you ever fish in the beautiful lakeā¦
HannaBanananana, hows the sidewalk water cooler thing goingā¦
This past Saturday was my first real attempt at fishing. I had my little niece and nephew and they used worms and caught sunfish and perch one after another and were very pleased. I used lures and gave up after I lost a lure in the rocks/grass. It is very popular for fishing, especially for bass. In the winter, many people ice fish.
Day 297 and checking in ā¦hope you all have had a great day today, got back from the zoo and a little hotel stay in the lovely town of colchester .feeling awsome apart from this hideous heat
Gonna show u later
Watch out forā¦
