I feel like there must be a better way to do it, but this is how I do it. I’m screenshotting with the web version, but it should be similar for mobile.
- Press the link button you want. For some stupid reason, the selected text won’t copy/paste on mobile devices. So… onwards.
- Press New Topic (even though you don’t really want to create a new topic).
- The body text for the new topic will include the link, where you CAN copy/paste it. Copy it.
- Cancel creating the new topic, do not actually press Create Topic. The link will still be there when you want to paste it, as long as you don’t copy/paste anything else.
- Go back to the thread you want to put the link into, and paste.
