Itās sad though that we canāt make a life choice like not drinking without someone else reacting to it.
I still think that those that do are jealous. To my mind the ones that comment the loudest are the closet alkies!!

What bothers me more is people who donāt understand how precious thing my sobriety is and kind of ingnore it. But thatās why there are peers and groups, where we all know exactly what jewels we are sitting on. Hmm was that a right expression ā¦

Exactly. I suppose looking at my life I seriously donāt go anywhere or do anything where the situation could arise.
Donāt have dinner parties, very rarely go to the pub these days. When I see my mates it just doesnāt come up. And this was the same before I went dry. Nothing has changed in that respect really.
The landlord at the pub we do our open mic at knows and has a blackcurrant and lemonade on the bar along with 3 lagers for us.
Actually he was quite upset last time because he had run out of lemonade and I had to drink fruity soft drinks. Not really my thing.
