I’ve never been to an open mic night, what’s it like? I’d love to eventually participate in an open jam night somewhere, but I’m guessing that’s a different atmosphere?

Do you sing? Play?
I sing and play keys, mostly. My guitar skills are ultra beginner level, and it’s basically been forever since I played violin/fiddle or anything else. I’m more of a composer than a performer

Ah wow super talented, I have much admiration, theres not a musical bone in my body. Bet it’s a great outlet!
Haha I’m not sure I’d use the word talented! More like an affinity, I’m just drawn to it, and was raised with opportunities to engage in music.
I’ve never thought of it as much of an outlet for me, but you know what, it could be!
Basically it’s a come and play your instruments. I think it’s more of a jam night in the fact that open mic you can read poetry or do a comedy routine, as someone said.
The band I’m in run this for the place we had our first gig a few weeks ago. This is only the second one. So don’t expect too many people again.

I wish, just the opposite, up and at’em early to get the kids to baseball camp. Just finding some time now to spread the joy…hows your day so far?
