Day one, again. Lasted 3 weeks. I am so tired of day ones. I want nothing more than to be sober, no more hangovers or guilty Sundays.
What’s your why? What’s your plan?
These are my two thoughts on my journey.
I’ve found sharing with people to be my best plan. The more I share the more I reenforce these two ideas above. I’ve moved from I can’t drink or I’m very cutting down etc etc to now saying “I don’t drink” day 120 or so. I’m muddling along in my mind every minute of the day but I share with someone, my wife, my friends, this community. It takes me back to my WHY. My health and my family
DAY 1 again, the best of luck on your journey. We’re here for you.

Thank you! I liked the read.
I hear you. The shame and disappointment is physical on those days after the night before. But you have to more than want sobriety. You have have to decide that it is the only option for you, and put in the work to make it so. That thread Jazzy linked is gold. Pick something and throw everything you have at it.
Maybe try a meeting might help , helped me stay sober wish you well
