Day 2 - no vaping

I’ve struggled with anxiety my entire life. It’s gotten worse as an adult, but I think that’s honestly from years of abusing drugs and alcohol.

I’ve always had nicotine as a vice. It was my one thing I didn’t feel guilty about, especially when I had moments of sobriety in the past.

It’s a mixture of quitting alcohol, quitting nicotine and having a 3 month old that is just… Mentally not feeling so fun. I feel paranoid?? I feel just… Strange. Idk.

Congrats on quitting vaping! Nicotine is a hard one to beat. It can be done though! Maybe you can find some support, knowledge and distraction from this thread:

Thanks! I’ll post in there from now on :relaxed:

Your story sounds similar to mine. I quit one thing at a time as quitting them all together was like a being on a sinking ship. Have you tried the nicotine lozenges? they worked really well for me!

Don’t be so hard on yourself. Focus on the tiger in your living room (alcohol), rather than the one scratching at the door. Is nicotine bad for you? Unquestionably, it is. But, it won’t wreck your life, or cause you to neglect your child, as alcohol will.

Should you try to quit vaping? Yes! Resist every urge, and celebrate every victory. However, don’t let the occasional defeat destroy your resolve or pull you into despair. Keep winning on the front that really matters: alcohol. Raise a daughter that has no memory of her mother ever drinking.
