Day 48 of sobriety

Hey everyone,
I’m new here it was a thing I saw in my sobriety app and decided to check it out. I’m 48 days sober. I almost died and my wife took me to the ER and after seeing me hardly able to walk cuz of shaking and throwing up and my vitals through the roof they admitted me immediately and was in there for a week. They Hospital saved my life. I feel so great now and am back to my old self before I drank. I only started drinking at age 36 now I’ll never drink again. If I can do it anybody can it’s been 48 days w no cravings no want to drink nothing. God has delivered me and I’m grateful none of my friends drink. We just smoke lots of cannabis
Thanks.
Be Blessed

Congratulations with your sober days! :tada::tada::tada:
Be aware (and prepared) that cravings can show up at any time! Even after years of sobriaty.
Think about up front what you are going to do when the urges come, it helps to have some kind of plan.
Glad you are still alive! A 2th chance for life!

Welcome! That sounds very scary. Glad you’re ok. Now that you got the alcohol out of your life, how about working on getting the cannabis out too? I quit 3 substances at the same time and it was all about getting to the root cause of why I wanted to escape life. Now that I’m managing to cope in a healthy way, I no longer have the desire to use any mind altering substances.
