Day 5 still tired

Still here! Feeling ok, sleeping well at night but still quite tired. Husband went off to the pub for 3 hrs, I declined stayed at home and watched Wimbledon.
It’s a little concerning and I’m wondering how our relationship will hold up; we’ll see, hope everyone is doing well xx

Congrats on day 5 Bokkie.
I got sober while my wife drank. We were drinking buddies for a long time. It was hard. But I wanted sobriety so badly. I used this forum a lot. She supported my sobriety but she made it clear she was still going to drink. It didn’t really bother me. Her drinking the first year or so of my sobriety. I was so focused on me and my sobriety it didn’t really matter what she did.
ODAAT.
Just for today.
Keep up the great work.

Just focus on your goal of you not drinking and don’t get upset when you see your Husband drinking. He is himself and you are you,

When I first got clean I didn’t live in a clean environment and I had to let other people make decisions for themselves so I can relate. Focus on your own recovery instead

Congratulations on day 5!! I can understand the feelings when your loved one is still drinking. I live with a daily drinker, who drinks at home, doesn’t go out. It can be a bit overwhelming, and your feelings are valid. Focus on you, your sobriety. Here if you need to chat.
