Is there any way you could organize things so your home is visually calmer? So others can keep their stuff and you would not stress out.
It’s so much easier to see what other people could let go, at least to me it is. ![]()

I do not know why I have hold on to cd’s so long, I don’t have a player for them anymore. Need to find out if anyone still buys them or do I just toss them in trash. Weird to let go part of my youth. It’s all in digital form these days.
Ticking off day 18. I could not do decluttering daily, it can be tough to let go.
Ha, me too. Heck, I still have that pile of VCR tapes to go through!
I wonder would they still work.
They do! I have scavenged 2 vcr’s and am going through the tapes. I would toss them all but there are some old videos of my mom and various other things I’m trying to find. It’s a long process. I’ve only been picking away at it for about 35 years! ![]()
I have several (embarrassingly many) watches that need new batteries. Should I replace the batteries before donating them?
People do still buy them. I still buy them. In my area there is a shop that buys used records, cds, movies and games then resells then. You might have something like that in your area.
I have one shop in mind that at least used to buy cd’s and vinyls. I hope they still do.
I wouldn’t tbh. It’s cost for you. But question is also, what quality are the watches? If you want to donate, I guess it’s not worth selling. But then, if you put a lot of value on the fact that you wish your watches to go to a nice new home and don’t end up in landfill… AND you are willing to cover the cost for batteries to achieve that goal, then maybe you should ![]()

I’ve been working on my garage for 15 minutes a day and I’ve decided to get rid of all my CD cases that I’ve stored up on a shelf forever. My CDs are mostly in CD binders and I’d thought one day I’d pull put all my cases and have them out, but after 15 years, I can say that’s not happening. This isnt even all the cases either since I’ve bought CDs over the years and some of the cases never got packed away.
I am going to keep a few of the cases that are part of collector sets. I also found that some of these cases still had the CDs in them
I’d been wondering where some of these disks went. Honestly, though, its pretty hard to get rid of them. I’m very attached to them, but what good are they if they’re just packed up in a box?
If you are crafty you could make a coffee table or side table top and epoxy it! That would be kinda cool! Ive seen similar things from cassette tape cases
This look so rad! Not sure the exact way it was made but thats the inspo in my head
That does look super cool! Sadly I’m not good with crafts ![]()
I vote you share a throwback cd a day until you give em away
Honestly I’m just pulling the inserts out and throwing the cases away. I’m more than happy to share some pictures though.
Well done! The after pic is so soothing to look at. You should be proud of yourself. ![]()
