I still like the old standby “fartbubble.”

It took me forever to figure out why everyone was signing off messages with mild gas.

Did you move this cus we went if topic?

Yes I think that’s what this is for. Thought it only fair. Dont think I did it right though but still

Good plan!

Continuing the discussion from Mind Blowing Random Thoughts:

Not to get Rob’s thread too off topic , not much these days, @anon12657779. More when I was younger, more mostly media. TV, movies. When I read I lean into fantasy stuff.

I’m a bad geek, never even read Sagan!

I was going to do that but can’t remember how.
I must admit I don’t think I’ve ever read any Carl Sagan either. I did a lot of sci-fi as a kid, then moved to fantasy.
There is some good sci-fi on Kindle. I’ve not really read a lot since getting sober. A few auto- biographies by Elite force’s guys. I’ve started a couple of books I was in the middle of series of and I’ve also started some self help sober type books but can’t really get into anything.
I did do a couple of classics recently, Time Machine, War of the World’s, The Invisible Man. H G Wells.
I read fantasy till it was coming out of my ears.

Ooo, you should check out A Logic Named Joe. Warning: some carrying on about drinking.

It’s a short story and quick read, I think available on Kindle. Neat because it was written in 1946 and basically describes modern day computing. Science fiction becomes science reality!

I’ll look it up.
I’ve just read one by Joshua Gayou. He did a post apocalyptic series called Commune that was good.
His latest is called All Gifts Bestowed.
Based on a paper he wrote about the evolution of AI, but didn’t publish back in the 90’s.
Very thought provoking.

Not sure there’s really a “topic” in the other thread.

Facts, Rob! Facts go in your thread.

Edit: Oh, I guess it technically says “thoughts.” :man_shrugging:
