These are the main categories learned in DBT, learning many different skills in each category.

@Its_me_Stella shared a lot of the skills she learned in DBT a while ago. Lots of good stuff indeed!
For sometime now I have been considering starting a DBT thread as I know there are a few of us who are in the middle of a program. I thought it might be useful to have somewhere here that we can bounce skills off each other, share when something has worked and when we might have missed the chance. Some of us have taken DBT a long time ago so it might be nice to be involved as a little refresher too. Being in the program a second time has made a huge difference in how I am absorbing it.

I am so pleased for you. DBT saved my life, I guess it’s over 7 years ago now. I was still in the throws of active substance abuse then so I recently took the whole program again as a refresher. What an amazing skill set to have under our wing. Please come share on the thread I have, there are a few others who have taken it or are currently taking it as well.
