Dry Drunk with No Meetings :(

I have made it more than a year without going to meetings, but I wouldn’t consider it a happy recovery at all. Any advice? Do you guys think online meetings are sufficient?

I’ve only been sober 8 days and have attended 2 meetings. I personally found the support of others in similar situations is awesome. I tried for years & didn’t get anywhere, but we’re all different.

I attend about 5 AA meetings a week. The support in the fellowship where I go is awesome! We have a movie night out every Tuesday, usually about 20 people from the area AA meetings go. Beach day on Sundays, dinner outings on Saturday night, we have a hippie dance coming up on Sept 24. I’ve met so many great people in recovery, and I’m usually the person that shys away from social situations (especially without drinking first). AA has shown me that there is a wonderful life without drugs and alcohol. But I had to surrender to the fact that I could not stay sober on my own, and believe me i tried so many times. My best thinking got me to AA. The thing is, what can it hurt?
