I really enjoy Einaudi! I love the song “Experience” from his In A Time Lapse album! It’s in one of my favorite TV shows called Sense8. I hadn’t heard “Le Onde“ before, I appreciate the suggestion! ![]()

All my life, I have never enjoyed New Wave music except for a handful of songs. Lately I’ve been discovering that if I nibble around the edges of it, not so much listening to the big New Wave albums, but the albums that inspired those albums and that sound, there’s a vein of great records that I have never really tapped into. This week I discovered Brian Eno, who has a variety of very different sounds in his repertoire, and right now I can’t get enough of this one:
It’s hard to describe because it is so eclectic. One song will sound like something off of a Talking Heads record or Devo, then the very next song might sound like early Pink Floyd. Some of it sounds like math or art rock, some of it is super relaxing, and some of it is like psychedelic synth music. If you described this to me I would think it wasn’t for me. I tend to prefer albums that have a more consistent tone or flow to them, but this is a masterpiece. I love every song, and after each song ends, it pivots in a whole new direction, yet it somehow is not jarring. Just masterful.
What an amazing find! I just listened to the whole album from start to finish and I agree wholeheartedly that it’s incredibly eclectic while not jarring when the tone shifts! I particularly liked the last song of the album “Spider And I” with its synth sounds!
I’m super excited to explore more of his music, I really appreciate this suggestion ![]()

New jam for today is a song called “Gémeaux” by samedi.noir from his Zodiaque album. Very chill and enjoyable for background music while painting!
A song that’s literally close to my heart (tattooed on my chest) is “bodyache” by Purity Ring from their another eternity album. This song takes me back to “the good ol days”, always cheers me up and makes me think of killing it as a salesperson in a skate shop!
New track today is “Dark Tropical” by Barrie from her Happy To Be Here album. Super lighthearted with an enjoyable beat!
For the go-to track today I got “Kettering” by The Antlers from their Hospice album! If I ever need a good cry, I listen to this and open up the flood gates ![]()
I’ve only heard depression cherry so far.. thanks for the suggestion.. I’m definitely going to listen to more of there discography
Ps: been listening to a lot of 90s grunge and alternative music the last couple weeks. It’s always changing. Sometimes it’s specific bands or like time periods but lately a lot of 90s.. Alice In Chains, Soundgarden , Nirvana, RHCP, Rage against the machine, Green Day
1:16 !!!
Alice In Chains - Grind - from 1995 self titled
And just remembering I been listening to the album Top of the world from Slightly stoopid a lot because of its positive vibe and just discovering this band.. definitely have posted this song recently
I get to go see them in April! I am so incredibly stoked. Always a solid choice in my opinion.

Nice! I haven’t listened to NF since his Perception album! I really liked this song, I appreciate the suggestion!
Akeboshi (Spotify playlist)
Yoshiro Akeboshi will always have a place in my heart thanks to the anime Naruto! I appreciate the suggestion, I haven’t listened to much of his work besides the songs “Wind” and “Night and Day” from his Akeboshi album! This is a great inspiration to do a deep dive into the rest of his work! ![]()

The 3 legged dog album is my favorite but its interesting that album doesn’t have a title and is self titled even though that album was put out well into there music career. Normally self titled is the first.. makes me wonder if there is a story behind that
That’s awesome..
I’ll definitely continue to post different bands or music I’m listening to
Thanks man, any new finds or classic loves are welcome ![]()

Updated the title to more accurately (and artistically) reflect this thread! I had used the word “current” in the previous title and did not feel like that was an accurate description of what was being posted! Also reworded the intro a wee bit. Hopefully this doesn’t cause too much confusion!
Today’s new find is a song called “Within You, Within Me” by Meltt from their Eternal Embers album. I appreciate the groovy tones and the lead vocals are really incredibly chill. Also, the album artwork is ideal ![]()
For today’s classic I chose the song “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” by The Darkness from their Permission to Land album. This is a feel good song for me, I’m quite fond of the memories associated with these particular set of sounds!
