I broke last night. A good friend of mine killed herself over the holidays and now I have a good friend sitting in the hospital close to death. My 11 days was shot. Don’t know what to do
So sorry for your loss. Sounds terrible. Try and take a moment to take stock, be there for your friend in hospital now.
I am so sorry for what you’re going through:( I lost a loved one Christmas eve of 2015. I got the call on my way to a formal family dinner with my husband and kids. Just remember that time doesn’t heal anything… but it does get easier. Maybe if you think of the pain your feeling as a way to honor them it will be easier to avoid numbing it with alcohol. I’m religious and believe that those who leave us behind can feel our pain and sense our struggle to cope. Your lost loved one would want you to always be happy and I’m sure it makes their soul happy to know you’re doing your best to make it through sober. Stay strong, we are here for you! Hugs.
