Good morning everyone, I just need some advice. I was informed last night that my mother (70+yrs) has afib. She told me that the doctor said she had heart failure, they operated, everything seems to be okay from what she told me over the phone. I haven’t spoken to her since I earned my sobriety a little over 3 years ago. With her health the way it is, and she doesn’t have family in the state she lives in. I plan to visit her soon to see how her mental health is, but I am thinking in the next coming months that I am going to pick up and move there. I know I need to visit just to see how things would be, but this has been heavy on my heart all night. Yes, I am capable of packing up everything and going. Life has been growing and improving a lot recently. I’m just being selfish in thinking that I would be giving up what I worked for to get where I am now, but I also no I am healthier now to be able to handle her BPD episodes and heal from the past. Any advice, or related stories would be great. Thanks in advance.
