I’m Anna, I’m 17 years old, and I am addicted to Porn. I was sexually abused growing up and was introduced to porn at the age of 10. Porn has been my coping strategy, although my abuser is no longer in the picture I still turn to porn. I have been desperately trying to break this addiction for years and years. It’s changed my brain in horrible ways and I always struggle to function like a normal human being. I found this app a couple days after therapy, I had gotten into a fight with my now ex boyfriend and turned to porn. I began to dissociate and felt sick, I then decided now was the time to change. Finding this app has been one of the most amazing things for me, I can proudly say I am on day 3 without porn. Seeing everyone share and encourage each other makes me feel less alone, and reading peoples posts has kept me from relapsing. I’m hoping this will help me be free from this addiction so I can finally live. I don’t know what to write really, just wanted to share my journey, mostly to show myself that I can do this and that my abuser and porn cannot dictate my life any longer

Happy for you for moving forward in your life. I know from experience that things happen sometimes in the younger years that affect Us greatly in the years to come. However take your power back as you are doing keep your head up and know that you can do this! Congrats on moving forward n keep looking up

Hey @Anna191, it’s great to have you on the community. It’s also fantastic that you’ve decided to take this step to recovery in your teen years. I’m 22 now and I wish I had started my recovery sooner.
