I have experience making an ass out of myself as well, a bit too much in my opinion 
now that I got sober I only make an ass out of myself when the time calls for it to lighten the mood, instead of darken it!

Tbh, I have been struggling with the moral hangovers as well as the physical ones. But at least the moral ones for now gives me motivation to not go down the same path again.
