This has been a crazy journey. This time last year I was on the floor of a cold jail not knowing when I’d be home. I can’t say I’m where I want to be yet but did what I had to to get the shot. My next step is leaving my Mom’s house and entering a sober living on the 21st. This is my first time genuinely trying to get my life together and I’m terrified. I have isolated for so long I don’t know what to do with myself. If anyone has any sort of long term success stories of life on Viv I would love to hear! I have so many friends in recovery and I literally don’t know anyone my age 26 who has decided to go with the shot.

I got the shot the first 6-7 months of sobriety. I also spent a few months in a sober living house. Highly recommend both. However, I would suggest an IOP and steady dose of AA/SMART/Dharna Recovery as well. And don’t forget the therapy! Alll things that I did and that worked for me
