5 years ago I walked into my first AA meeting and wasnt sure if I would stick around but know that I needed to stop drinking long enough for me to serve a short sentence on an ankle monitor. I wanted to quit so I didnt go to jail so I went to meeting a week before they sentenced me. Never did I know I could live life full of ups and downs and not have to drink. I have gained so much support with my AA community as well as this forum. I definitely could not stay sober without the help of others, I have tried in the past but never was successful. Im so grateful I stuck around AA and continue to do so, my life was in chaos before and I’m learning to live with some serenity now. Thank you everyone for your support along this wonderful journey.
