Arugula, baby kale, egg whites, cranberry pear balsamic.

I ate lots of canned chop suey growing up, served over the canned crisp noodles.
Now I know exactly what it was.
Also ate a lot of canned ravioli.
Canned black bean soup. Although had fresh sour cream and a fresh lemon slice over that.

Looks really delicious. I know what you mean about eating a lot of things in cans when you’re younger and then when you grow up you want to have things fresh. I will say one thing that for me personally canned ravioli never gets old. But to be honest anytime I see canned ravioli now or hear about it I think of Ricky from trailer Park boys. I’m not sure if you seen the comedy show but there’s an episode where he eats like nine cans of ravioli that aren’t his. Such a classic Ricky move

“ I mean nobody wants to admit they ate 9 cans of ravioli.”

I ate lots of canned ravioli and it was really delicious. I have some in my emergency rations here. Lycopene from the tomato sauce is healthy so it also has that going for it.
I never heard of who you’re talking about, but it’s funny!! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I’ve read about Lycopene!! They somehow took that out of tomatoes I guess and it’s in certain medication’s for Medical purposes obviously. I read about it but I didn’t retain the information lol.

Trailer park boys is a independent comedy show about basically a few knuckleheads that live in a trailer park in Canada and do not make the greatest choices on a daily basis. It may be triggering for somebody in early recovery but if you’re strong in your recovery your probably able to watch. Ricky is the Main character and I think he is one of the most funniest fictional characters in TV history. The character he plays is very uneducated In the traditional sense but at the same time extremely intelligent in his own way. Throughout the whole entire show he says phrases or words the wrong way but the way he says it is hilarious. There is countless videos on YouTube where they just have 20 or 30 minutes of him saying things wrong. Ricky isms..The episode where he eats the nine cans of ravioli is pretty funny and he finally admits that he took the ravioli cans from his friend. He says that.. nobody wants to admit they ate nine cans of ravioli and that he feels ashamed but the first Can doesn’t count.. Paraphrasing but that’s pretty much the quote. There is also an episode where he says jalapeño a really different and weird way and doesn’t understand the certain letter is silent and when his friend goes to the store to get jalapeño chips he doesn’t understand what his friend is saying but he says it his way and basically says I don’t know what kind of chips you’re getting but I want jalapano chips lol .. I don’t know sorry for the trailer park boys rant. I think the show is comedy genius and it’s written really well but other people might think it’s absolutely garbage show. Either way thanks for reminding me about that show because of the ravioli. I’m honestly probably going to see what streaming service it’s on and start watching it from the beginning.

Lycopene is very much out there in real tomatoes and other fruit and vegetables. It is a powerful antioxidant. They used to say and still might that cooked tomato products were especially high in absorbable lycopene.
Think ketchup. Although ketchup oftentimes has a lot of sugar in it. Think tomato sauce or tomato paste. In times past I thought if I had a tablespoon of one or the other every day, I would be doing a good thing for myself.
Enjoy watching your shows! You could always eat a can of tomato paste instead of chips!! Tomato paste is a little bitty can usually.

I love canned ravioli. Whenever I go back home Its one of the first things I eat, also Kraft mac and cheese and a jar of pickles. And eventually a huge ribeye steak. Things that are basically non existant while im travelling unless I pay a ridiculous price for it. I could probably eat 4 cans of chef boyardee ravioli if they were in front of me right now :joy::man_shrugging:

That totally makes sense. You never realize the simple foods you will miss until you don’t have them. I guess one of my guilty pleasures is also the Chef Boyardee spaghetti and meatballs. Have you ever had that can Version of Chef Boyardee?

About to finish up this movie and I got some corn puffs for snacking .. Off tomorrow because of the fourth. Even though it’s 4:30 AM and I say I’m going to sleep in but I’ll probably still be up at 8:30 and out the door ..probably riding my bike around Or going to the skate park. I also got some flowers and plants to landscape out front. Probably the earlier I do that the better. Life is good Especially when normally I’d be washing dishes in 3 1/2 hours

It’s beautiful!! it’s like my generations version of The chicken noodle soup can or something. That is nostalgia. I almost want to go on Amazon now and see if there’s a poster of that can

Balance is sweating and burning over 1100 calories in the gym, then coming home and eating quiche

Feta, spinach and red pepper quiche with rocket and mustard and capers and leek potato salad. So good. But I was absolutely Hank Marvin.
