Lots of nice food on the thread. I’m out of likes. I love all of it!
@JazzyS you grate the fresh horseradish to make that? That sounds wonderful. I love horseradish.
I will have to figure out where I can get it.
I like to find things to eat so I can have horseradish.
I’m mainly interested in the horseradish. That’s wonderful looking and surely taste wise also.

I am lucky that we have good horseradish available at my local grocery store and at the Indian grocers.

Yes- I did shred it. Drained it then seasoned it before stuffing the bread. I did use the drained horseradish water to knead the dough for the bread.

In Indian cuisine we usually just eat horse radish raw with our meals.

It looked like Mooli to me, which is a radish?

It is mooli which in English I thought was horseradish…this is what I purchased from the grocery store and it rang up as horse radish. I’ve grown up calling this mooli

It’s a radish then, much milder. Horseradish is fibrous like a ginger tuber and very very hot like wasabi… I was confused at how much Horseradish you might have folded into your bread :rofl:. Mooli is lovely and I’m glad you didn’t eat that much horseradish in one sitting. Phewwww

LOL – I had to do some digging and you are right. I have been calling what I think is called Daikon Radish a horse raddish – Sorry guys.

We call the Daikon raddish mooli as that is what is served with most meals and what the prantha is stuffed with. LOL - I do love spicy food but that would have been one hell of a stuffed bread if I used horseraddish

I did see this next to the ginger and will try next time I’m in the store.

I definitely knew once you posted the picture. I am a huge lover of both Daikon and horseradish. So, GO YOU!

So many tubers, so little time! I’m tempted to get a real horseradish and shred it. Also the daikon radish I think I’m able to get that periodically if not all the time..
