Foodies Unite #3 (trigger warning food) (Part 1)

Ya I was thinking banana too. But we never have any in the house. They always turn black and get thrown out. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Buy them, slice them, put them in the freezer! Then, you’ll always have fried PB/Banana sammie ingredients available!

My wife made Hamburger Soup. So freaking good. I made the Boule. Also freaking good.
To make a nice comforting dinner.

That. Is. Beautiful.

Thanks! I started being “in charge” of the salad at around 5-6 years old. My father was very particular about salad - about everything. Although there is a lot of baggage to unpack surrounding that, making food look good is something has remained important to me. :green_salad:

That bread looks fantastic but is that SPREAD? Please say it’s butter.

That’s very interesting! Salads I think should be pretty.

Oh no  it’s Kerry Gold Butter that I let soften nicely for my fresh loaf.
No spread

Praise all that is culinary holy!

That is a beautiful salad. I wish I had someone to make me one like that :violin:
After all the cooking I do I just don’t have the motivation for nice looking salads like that. And my wife wouldn’t go near a salad like that. It looks great to me.

Beautiful! I wish avocado was more readily accessible (ripened) in the Midwest. It’s one of things I miss most about Southern California and month-long visits to Mexico. Avocado is probably my favorite food.

I don’t know how we have had such good luck with avocados here in Iowa but we have this year. It had been hit or miss in the past. When I lived in Tucson we had great avocados from Mexico year round.
