Foodies Unite #5 (trigger warning food) TAKE ANOTHER LITTLE PIZZA MY HEART!

Dumped a whole bunch of cocoa powder in my oats today. I don’t know how I never thought of this before. So good! Also peanut butter powder, chia & flax seeds, walnuts, strawberries, bananas, & a drizzle of maple syrup.

Jason Dady’s signature ‘deviled’ eggs. He uses Kewpie mayonnaise on top of the egg… ( @Misokatsu and @ShadowFax ), and, in this case, with truffle oil on top of that and grated parmesan that turned it into a fluff ball. I have made them with the half boiled egg, a marble sized blob of Kewpie mayo, grated parmesan and some types of toppings, like basil, etc. Love it.
Tomatoes Caprese … wonderful, floating in pesto sauce

I’ve got to try to understand this…

So you do and your wife just set out to eat absolutely amazing food every day???

Literally every day. Every meal. You’re posting bonkers food…

Are you a food critic?!
Do you blog about this?!
Has it always been like this or is this a new commitment you’ve made?!?!
I have so many questions!!!

You’re funny.
It’s kinda always been like this except for the pandemic years. I was in the restaurant business all my life. My wife doesn’t cook. I get tired of cooking sometimes. I’m retired now. When we are in big cities we go out. Sometimes all out.
With the new move to Scottsdale we’ve checking out a lot of restaurants. We are in Dallas now enjoying family out.

Well…I support this whole heartedly! I just finished Eric Ripert’s “32 Yolks” and am now reading “Blood, Bones and Butter” by Gabrielle Hamilton. I love food and cooking and chefs…even if I don’t get to do nearly as much cooking as I’d like. Both books are great if you’re in the mood to read or audible food books with a lot of heart!
