This one…this one felt, smelled, and tasted gourmet

Ribeye with a bluecheese, garlic butter
Loaded mashed potatoes
Ceasar salad

Ms. Monkey was mostly silent during the meal. She stopped chewing looked at me and said, “This is better than anything I have ever paid for. I will do anything you ask tonight.”

Then finished her meal. It was that good!

Looks and sounds amazing. I love that she said that! My husband says something similar to me pretty often, couldn’t buy a meal like this and made with love, usually including the fact that he didn’t have to put real pants on, too.

Last night I made a creamy Italian sausage Tortellini soup. Here it is in the various stages.

And the finished plate.

Looks great! Are the tortellini fresh or frozen? I’ve seen some American recipes where they call for frozen and I’d never had nor seen them here. But just recently saw in store. Curious how they are/how they hold up in cooking

Anyone have a Goose breast recipe?

They are the fresh/refrigerated ones. They take about 5 to 7 minutes to cook, anything longer and they begin to break down.

Bless the chok that birthed that massive egg.

Breaking all the BBQ rules is how I roll.

Wish I did, the only thing I’ve heard is that it really depends on whether it’s wild goose or farm raised due to fat content. So when you go googling recipes keep that in mind.

Thia is a wild one…i being given a breast…

Ive only ever had goose once and that was roasted one christmas.
My first though was to say it will be just like duck and i usually do an orange or black cherry sauce with that sometines hoisin. After reading a bit on the web apparently its not like duck id still try a black cherry sauce with it, i think it would work.:smile:

:rofl: i was a kid when i had it but i do remember hanging the carcass outside and it fed the birds for weeks. Just thought a nice chilli Bbq sauce would be good.
