It’s like a shepherds pie.
Or a cottage pie.
But as a kid us yanks called this version Chinese Pie for some ridiculous reason.
Mashed potatoes burger and corns.
You know I had to look it up!
My Canadian grandma, of French descendants, did most of the cooking in our house when I was I kid. That makes sense. Never realized this.
My family on my mothers side was from Sherbrooke and Grandby. Or rather lived there. I loved visiting up there once a year on the farm. Never made it to Montreal. I hear it’s a beautiful city.
My grandma made the best stuffing for Thanksgivings. It had bread crumbs. But it also had potatoes and ground beef. Ever heard of that? I wish I had a good recipe for that. But I don’t think Grammy used a recipe. She just cooked. And her meat pies. I loved her meat pies. I wish I could have been old enough to cook with her.
Home made chicken casserole with roast potatoes and a Yorkshire pudding, after home made oreo milkshakes yum
That’s some shady business right there! it does look tiny, but then again many of us are used to chicken parts that are way larger, those factory farmed birds, anyway!
Drooling at the milkshakes lol
Stealing the recipe from Hellofresh bc we love it so much. Spicy tuscan beef stuffed green bell peppers with couscous…mmmm
Vegan breakfast burrito
Lazy work dinner/snack
Edamame, peas, sesame seeds, tofu, tangy peach bbq sauce
Late dinner of salty cheddar, sweet potato crackers, onion and garlic free salsa, and avocado and pistachios–which I haven’t been able to have for two months. Super exciting
Beautiful avocado
It was glorious. I missed it so much.
Managed to cook last night. The brats were from the BBQ this past weekend but I sautéed the veggies and added homemade salsa verde for a bit of kick and sauce. Smashed some leftover baby potatoes and a light spray of oil then put under the broiler. Quite yummy.
That’s an interesting way of having potatoes! I’ll have to try that sometime.
They get a little crispy but still tender on the inside. I saw it online somewhere.
