Sorry, I’m experiencing quite the opposite. A type a clarity I haven’t had in years.

I had major short term memory issues for the first three weeks.

I couldn’t even remember how to spell easy words.

Got better, and around 40 days it got bad again.

Now relatively good at 66 days.

short term is still not where it should be, but its getting a bit better.

I thought it was the drink that made me forget the night before but it’s still happening and I’m on day 6?

Post accute withdrawl.

Ironically I couldn’t remember the word ‘impulsive’ the other day :joy: yes, have noticed my ‘word retrieval’ is a little poorer than usual.

Thank you @Goose I’m still reading this, but so far the info on insomnia and memory are extremely helpful. I’m only going on 5 days and my 3rd day I woke up in a fog and all day I was shaky and felt hungover. Good to know what’s going on chemically.

I feel that for sure. The more you stay sober the better your memory gets. Get in some exercise. The blood flow will help the toxins out and more oxygenated blood to the brain. It will help
