The scrolling issue seems to be an Android-only issue. It works fine on iOS.

Okay, so here are the final findings for the jumping bug:
- Only happens on Android
- This is NOT due to the app update. I replicated this on an older version of the app, and it still does it.
- The same behavior occurs when opening the community from a mobile Android browser outside of the app
- This is most likely due to a bug with the community software itself
I will try to update our community software to the latest version. If this doesn’t work, I will contact Discourse.

Mines still a bit jolty as well! Android.
Appreciate you looking into this for us in such depth. I have forced stopped the app and restarted the phone. It isn’t as bad as before (which is a blessing). Still a bit glitchy but I guess this is just the android feature 
.

Also can no longer “zoom in” on my iPhone app on photos/posts (used to be able to using two fingers and expanding)

I just wanted to say thank you to whomever fixed the glitch. I started the initial thread and 24-48 hours later the issue was resolved. Good job on keeping this community going and keeping us all happy.
I don’t know how everyone else might feel about this, but I desperately depend on you guys to keep me sane (and sober). Appreciate you!!

I’m sorry to hear that @Marit, I know how important it is to be able to talk to someone or check on others. Maybe tag @Robin or @moderators to see if they can get that fixed for you. I’m still new here and don’t know how to navigate the app too well, myself. I hope that it helps you.

Any news on the fact some of us can’t pinch open or zoom in on pics.
iPhone.
I’m also have trouble getting my curser to go where I want it when I’m spell checking myself. I have to tap really hard and hold and slide it. Most times I have to delete the whole word and try and spell it correctly. No big deal.
And lastly when I post a pic and I try writing about the pic it flashes or bounces around on the screen to my right. Kind of annoying. Not that big of a deal either.
But I’d sure love to open some of the pics wider to view.

Hi @Robin ,I’m still experiencing irratic scrolling, sometimes the slitest twitch of a finger sends me to the end of a thread other times it’s fine.
It’s not my phone as it’s the same on the wifes phone which is a Samsung while I’m using a Sony Xperia on android 14 using the latest version of the app.
I’ve tried uninstalling the app and doing a fresh install and also rebooted my phone numerous times, all to no avail.
It’s now starting to get really annoying and is spoiling my enjoyment and interactions with the forum.
I know you’re doing your best, but I thought I’d better mention it anyway.

I know you are super busy with all these glitches we all seem to be experiencing. My shakiness comes and goes (slightly better than before but not by a lot) but now my phone is getting much worse on the getting stuck stages – it freezes and I have to exit the app completely and reenter to be able to use again. Before it would only happen if I scrolled up on a thread or was adding an image but now it happens even if I’m just reading through the thread.

Edit- wanted to add thar replying to a message is still taking up the whole screen and I can’t view the message I’m replying to. Not sure if this is a glitch or part of the new update.

Hey. It’s still super glitchy on my App on Android 13. Latest version on the app. The screen freezes and rolls and I’m finding more glitches, especially in the last three days.
As well as the rolling and jiggery screen, I now have this issue where if I am posting text and a photo, it not only takes ages, but then it says error and says my post is too similar to another post. It’s already posted it and it’sstopping me from posting the same thing twice. So I then have to delete the error post not knowing whether my actual post has posted. Sometimes the thread doesn’t even update and it’s not until I come out that thread and go back in I can see that my post was posted at all. It’s there suddenly.
All making the App a bit of a no for me and I’m using the browser version more.
Sorry for this, but thought it worth a mention.

Freezing screens while scrolling through a thread is a new issue for me too. Google pixel 7a, android 15, app version 4.2.01

@Robin I’ve just been on the forum PC site on my phone. It prompted me to instal the ‘Talking’ app, which I did.
The app is exactly the same as the ST app, but with no glitches, but hasn’t got an associated widget, and for some reason doesn’t appear on the play store under Talking!
Very weird don’t know what’s happening there! Any ideas?
