Friday Thread #2

Good choice! I binged Dexter about 10 years ago. It’s addicting! (Wait, maybe that’s a bad term to use on this forum) :joy: enjoy! Keep me posted how you like it.
Did you see Wanted (Australian series?)

A Garmin smart watch (vivoactive) and the Garmin app. It does great for swims, runs, and bike rides.

Hey everyone… Someone has to still be doing something fun tonight? Right?

I’m in bed. Been reading on here for the last hour trying to catch up for the past 3 days I’ve been away. So many posts. Thankful I’m sober on another Friday night!

Friday night and I have a complicated choice to make. Just finished “I’ll be Gone in the Dark” by Michelle McNamara. Now deciding on my next good read…

Think I will go with “Dead Souls”.

I find Russian literature to be soothingly moody and insightful surrounding the human condition… “Isolde”, “Crime and Punishment”, “Anna Karenina”, “The House of the Dead”, “The Death of Ivan Ilyich”…

I have a whole stack of favorites with the intent to reread before I die. The struggle is finding time to read something new vs. rereading a favorite and discovering something new all over again…

I have read “The Turn of the Screw” several times (not Russian but still a fave…) and I get the shivers up my spine each time… When I die I want this book to be buried with me, along with “The Awakening” by Kate Chopin.

Well, that’s my Friday night ramblings. Finding solace through lovely immortalized stories…

Good night.

Left work frustrated and frazzled, but had a commitment tonight so needed to walk away from it either way.

And so worth it. That led to a whole series of happy encounters out and about, celebrating with friends I crossed paths with at random. Hot dang, what a fine Friday night. :v:

One would think after a long rough day, one would want to simply crash. For some reason, it doesn’t work like that with Goat. Ugh. Lol

I’m scared to try the foot masks after I read the warning photo here then decided to google and saw photos :joy::joy:

Work most of the day and then maybe a movie tonight. It’s raining and isn’t supposed to stop anytime soon. So not much planned. May actually work on Step 4 of my recovery tonight. We’ll see. Not feeling like doing much at all.

Just video chatted with my brother and 6 mo old niece, she just started army crawling. She smiled and laughed when I was talking to her, what a joy. I’ve been there three times helping out for a week or two at a time since she was born, with the last time over the Thanksgiving holiday. I told him he’s in trouble with an almost crawler! I have had plans since the first of the year to drive down and visit for a couple weeks in mid-April but we’ve had to agree to postpone until the COVID-19 situation stabilizes. Even though I’d be driving, I’d still have to stop for gas and potty breaks and would be risking exposure. It’s a bummer, especially because I was so looking forward to being solid in sobriety with a month under my belt and ready to take this trip. This shit needs to get figured out!

Happy Friday, @RosaCanDo!

As for me, running one last day of gauntlet after a crazy week. Looking forward to my Friday night meeting already.

Don’t think people are even aware that it’s FRIDAY over here Goat!
Too busy gossiping about a certain virus thing.

Friday night and here I am. Wishing maybe I hadn’t been so dismissive of the preppers because I’m currently quarantined with an empty refrigerator :joy:. I guess I should find an online meeting and do some chores, or something. I did have a nice moment outside.

Have they suspended food deliveries? Our local grocery stores deliver. They leave it on your porch. :purple_heart: And…Amazon.
