The Wire… Yes! Some years ago I last watched it. Totally binged it the first time. Hope this time I can let it go when it’s time for bed. Which is early because I’m working the weekend. Thanks for the reminder.

Sounds perfect @erntedank I have had the bath and dinner, and just missing the cats. My daughter likes to take them to bed with her and they find their way down at some point in the evening. This is my first Friday night sober in a long time, feeling really proud of myself

HBO yes, and David Simon… You ever see Treme? Less successful and influential as the Wire maybe, but I loved it just as much. Might see that again too, not tonight though.

Yes Jenny nice one! You should feel proud. And waking up hangover free is a brilliant gift to give yourself! :hugs:

Had pizza and chips for dinner and Maggie has taken herself off to bed so we’ve got some peace and quiet for a little bit :raised_hands:

Started watching Schitts Creek on Netflix. Tried it a while ago and gave up after the first episode as it seemed a little blah. Giving it a chance though and starting to get into it!

Sounds like a great evening @siand I was wondering whether I might have a bit more brain power in the evening to watch programmes I had previously dismissed. I haven’t been to the cinema in the evening in years (over a decade) as I couldn’t drink :unamused: I am quite excited about trying that again!

Long work week. Finished a major project. Boss of 14 years is retiring next Wednesday. Lots of change here. But good change. Thinking something easy for dinner. I’m tired. Pizza or soup or an entire cheesecake. Kidding about option #3. On day 343. Feeling the power! Might even watch “Power of the Dog” tonight.

I’ve been to the cinema a couple of times recently and really enjoyed it! Cinemas have super fancy chairs now too

I’m hoping to go to see Death on the Nile. Got a friend who is a big fan of Agatha Christie and Russell Brand so she’s pretty excited about it.

Not heard of power of the dog. Looked it up, looks intense!

Good work getting that project done :muscle: Tbh pizza and cheesecake sounds good to me.

I’m spending an exciting Friday night working on organizing my bedroom closet. It’s a massive task. Luckily I have a lot of great things to listen to while I work.

Good luck!! :+1:

Thanks. I’m 2 weeks into it. I have this goal to go through one room a month and just get rid of stuff. You live in a place long enough and stuff just builds up.

Definitely wish you luck when you get to it! :+1:

We’ve been in our house for like 17 years now and have accumulated too much stuff. I ever have a whole declutter thread on the topic of… well, decluttering. I’ve been struggling with this for a looong time now.

I like your 1 room strategy, makes it palatable and less overwhelming.

Thanks. I figure if I get through one room, and commit to keeping it clean and kept up as I work on other rooms, eventually my whole place will be done over. I also only spend about an hour a day (approximately) each day on the home makeover, so it takes longer, and I have crap from the closet out in the bedroom and hall right now, but it feels more do-able.

I’ll have to go look up your topic tomorrow. I’m kind of a sucker for cleaning and decluttering. I grew up in a ‘Hoarders’ type environment, so I need a certain amount of order. The last 6/7 years has left my home in a limbo, so I’ve decided to help it “find itself”

We’ve been here for12/13 years and, yeah, we’ve accumulated a lot of random things and I just don’t want to give all of it room in my space anymore.

I need to implement this goal too

@Hoofhearted @Chiron
I need to declutter too. We have been in this house 15 years. It’s time.

I need to get on the declutter thread. Looks like we will be moving house soon and so really need to get onto getting rid of all the stuff I don’t want to take with me!

@chiron agreed room at a time sounds like a good plan. Just need to get started :grimacing:

I have been making really good progress on my decluttering. I’m pretty proud of myself, actually! A couple days ago I dragged all of my crafting/knitting/art supplies down to my basement where there is a large table, my decluttering table. I recently went through boxes of “treasures” and keepsakes and stored them in plastic totes instead of cardboard boxes to protect from water damage. Now I have filled the table back up and I’ll start going through it all today. I’ve got plastic crates and fabric totes, I just need to determine what I need most access to and how to store the rest. Weekend fun!

The kitchen is next up for me…sort of dreading that one.
