I love that story! Kenny Chesney is pretty dang cool, as an artist and a person.
I love country music, but not all of it. I like artists who also crossover into other genres. Whiskey Myers, The Cadillac Three, A Thousand Horses to name a few. Itās not been a trigger for me, but I donāt post many here, because a lot of them are about drinking. Of course!
Shared this before one on another thread. Doing it again here while I donāt really like Dutch band BlĆøf but I do love their collaborations with Counting Crows.
Waylon Jennings was my nannyās cousin. The only time Iāve ever been to Nashville I got to go to his house. I was young, so I thought it was the biggest, most beautiful mansion Iād ever seen. I think that family is where my uncles got their wild sides from.
That is a wonderful memory to have! Did you meet him?
Love Waylonās music, used to play the āDreaming my Dreamsā album on the pianoā¦
āLetās Turn Back the Yearsāā¦ āThe Door is Always Openā
Loved his music, hated his drinkingā¦
Probably our favorite guitarist.
Seen him twice at the Greek Theater, nice small venue. I donāt go to too many concerts now. But Iād still see Mark Knopfler again. And again.
āThis is not a bitter song, nor a criticism of God, but rather a critique of the unwavering devotion he gets, despite showing no particular devotion in return. The statement is more or less that man needs God to exist, regardless of if he really does.ā
