Saw them play twice that year. Both in the top 5 of the best live shows I ever witnessed.
Love it!
This song, āDistractionsā , three songs up, Froot Loops š¶ - #813 by Mno, I remember the first time I ever heard it. Then I had to go back later and find where I had heard it. It changed my life in a good way, brought much good into my life. Now I will not click on it to listen; I know the song in my head; and will click on it later. Posting this song by Sia which I listened to for months while I was falling asleep. I believe this exact recording but perhaps not. Think I will start that good habit again. Music is powerful. Music grabs us and keeps us. Some music will always have itās power on us. These two songs do for me in a good way. Thank you @Mno

You made me think about Chrissie Hynde and which version I like best. Followed by thinking about my favourite Pretenders song which itself is a cover. The original isnāt bad either.
āPicture yourself in a boat on a river
With tangerine trees and marmalade skiesā¦ā I love the Beatles!
Follow her down to a bridge by a fountain
Where rocking horse people eat marshmallow pies
Everyone smiles as you drift past the flowers
That grow so incredibly high
TS has gotten marshmallows on my brain, with @Charlie_C , @Ravikamor and @Olivia all making them! Until TS I thought marshmallows just came out of a bagā¦ what we learnā¦
Missing @Callie99 be okay friend xoxo
Oh man! That is old.
When I first heard The Black Crowes, it was the beginning of a long love story. Iāve seen them live many times, from California to Colorado to Texas to Jazz Fest in NOLA. I think they were at the top of their game at the Freak ān Rollā¦ Into the Fog show at San Franciscoās Fillmore. Out of all the times Iāve seen them, it was never when Mark Ford was on lead guitar. Heās pretty damn awesomeā¦ on guitar. His ego kept him from staying with the band. I canāt say enough about Luther Dickinson, whoās also played lead guitar for the Crowes. He has incredible talent. Anywho, I could write a short novel about how much I love their music. Maybe I already haveā¦
Sweet! I love the first one.
Iām shocked anyone was able to do justice to louieās song!
Emilyās rendition is surprisingly awesome.
Iām a huuuuge fan of old timey jazz.
My daughter actually loves louies version as well but only because she heard it on WALL-E
WALLĀ·E is one of my favorite movies and Ratatouille- no shame haha
La Vie en Rose 1947, Edith Piaf
Louieās version was the first I heard in English. Itās always beautiful to hear peoples covers
WALL-E is pretty awesome. I love how they made the 2 main characters so damn likeable despite having a limited vocabulary.
Itās one of the few movies I can genuinely enjoy with the little one.
And big oof. Idk how Iāve never heard this. But Iām not surprised, alot of greats covered other greats at that time.
This is a straight banger
Saving it and Iām thanking you for showing me it!
Much thanks!
