God... how to know if god is loving or not

This is for anyone; especially for those that are struggling with God or going through something. No one ever says, “It hurts like heaven”, “it’s cold as heaven”, or “heaven’s a bad place”. We all have a concept of heaven and hell, so that should tell you about the ruler. Also, it was our decisions that took us to the places we went, all the while God protected us and helped keep you alive so that you can finally choose to turn away from a life of destruction and misery. The last thing I’ll say is, no path in life is easy, but when you start to live the way anyone, normy or Alcoholic/Addict, is supposed to, life gets easier because, problems/issues get resolved, not just swept under a rug. I send my love and respect out to the world. God bless.

This is only my opinion. You’re not identifying yourself as either a former addict or someone trying to help addicts trying to recover. You just made a bunch of statements with the word God and or Heaven in them. They hold no clout for me especially if they are random and have no true explanation of how they are intended to help those of us that are either “normy’s or alcoholic/addicts” as you so eloquently put.

Also, you spelled alcoholic wrong. Imposter guys, he’s an imposter!

Lol totally kidding.

I like your response @alpine_1975 …and I’m just going to leave it at that.

never experienced the same high as I got by guzzling beer by reading the bible. Not knocking it but have never yet experienced the “fuzzy” religious high, but my mind is open to it. Boozing at the moment is still in the forefront of my thoughts

I appreciate all responses. As I was taught by my sponsor, as well as many others in many groups I’ve learned from, I must always be honest, open-minded, and willing. The way I identify myself is determined by the format of the meeting I’m attending. Since I’m always looking for similarities and not differences, I’ve been able to grow and learn in ways I don’t think possible because it has helped me understand so much more about myself and why the substance was not the problem. I usually will attend AA meetings, but drugs was my preference. I have lived literally on the streets from Fresno, Ca to Redding, Ca, as well as, pheonix and flagstaff, Az. Take care and God bless.

I’ll respond to by saying, it wasn’t until I started to let his will be mine and applying the things I’ve learned through my recovery and the bible, as well as, many other friends and their faiths that my opinion and life has changed and I get to experience something far more greater than any high I’ve ever felt before.
