Getting ready to go to an AA meeting and pick up my reward. Yup, my 30 day chip! When I committed to making this journey my lifelong mission and not just “another attempt” 30 days of sobriety seemed like such a long time… it seemed damn near impossible. In hindsight, I’m very proud to have made it this far, but also now realize that these 30 days are truly just a miniscule drop in the bucket. I’m in no way discounting this in any way, but in fact realize there’s a long life of sobriety and good experiences on the horizon!
Congrats @alpine_1975 30 days…woo hoo
Well done 30 days that great. Going to the right place to get sober easy does it an enjoy. What a journey ahead of you give my regards to your group. Everyone be safe
How does that work? You just say you’re on day 30 and they give you one? Just curious. I’m on day 25, right behind you. I want my damn chip lol.
Usually at the end of a meeting they give out chips for varying lengths of clean time. At that time, you go up and collect the chip that denotes the amount of time you have.
@Elisabeth, yeah it’s part of the routine at all the meetings I’ve been to like @Lauriebjw said. Strange they haven’t done that in your California meetings. You’d better get on em’ girlfriend!
@alpine_1975 its so beautiful and shiny! I seriously can’t wait.
Wooohoooo!!! Good job friend! So proud of you! And I put your 30 day stone in the mail today! Happy day!
Omg, that is so cool! Thank you
Your so cool! Its not much, but its natures chip and a small thank you for being such a significant part of my early recovery journey. hug
@Elisabeth, I did a little research and not all chapters of AA participate in the chip program. I hope that’s not the case where you’re at. It gives you a small token to strive for. Hey it’s the little things right?
Congratulations on your 30 days. Great job!
What? No way, I am getting that damn chip. How upsetting. I’ll shop around. I’ve got a little bit of time to do so, lol.
