Omg!!! Congratulations wow what a huge accomplishment
Congratulations @SassyBoomer it truly is a huge deal! I loved reading earlier how you are feeling so much better. Some people don’t feel it but most do. Cigarette robs with each puff that you take, Healing begins with each puff that you don’t take. Super proud of you.
@JasonFisher proud of you, too! Embrace yourself not smoking and sober! ODAAT no smoking! You can do it!
@Lady youre doing awesome!
@Mno nice NOPE pic
@SassyBoomer aww well done that is blooming fantastic. so proud and pleased for you. You are doing marvelous.
I never told anyone I’d quit until I hit 2 weeks, said nothing and smashed it.
I’m still smiling now. What a tremendous achievement to be free. Whatever works for you just keep doing it, it’s working.
@JasonFisher that’s great mate. I’m so pleased for you kicking the smokes into touch.
I smoked 20+ a day and now I honestly do not know how I made the time to smoke every single day. What a dreadful existence.
And now …well words cant describe how happy I am and pleased with myself for doing this. The added bonus is how much money I’ve saved.
I’ve signed up to a healthy living free programme to quit smoking. I will receive 1-2-1 telephone support and nrt if I want it. All free. I’ve been reading Allen Carr book and have bought (I read about them in this thread, I think) cinnamon toothpicks to chew on when the cravings come. My quit day is next Tuesday. I hate smoking
@Hayleylujah that could be the best decision of your life. You wont regret it. Best wishes and let us know how it’s going.
Thanks I quit before. I started again March 2020 at the start of the 1st lockdown. I can’t take it anymore
240 hours!
I still have some cravings. I was tempted at the store last night. I struggled with the urge to buy a pack until the cashier asked if I needed anything else. “No thanks”
I don’t feel nicotine withdrawal anymore. It’s just the physical part that’s “missing”
I’m starting to feel like a non smoker.
I feel better. Like some healing is taking place.
Brilliant Jason
Sits here patiently waiting for her brother @DryIn785.
We have enough in here now to almost start a baseball team. Go us!!
Finally slapped a patch on. I still feel a small urge to smoke, but it’s not overwhelming. I’m feeling the same way as when I chew; my body is getting nicotine, but my hands want to be doing something.
Warning. If you find the patch gives you really wierd dreams then put one on the minute you wake up and remove about an hour before you go to bed. If they don’t affect you that way then stick with the 24 hr routine. Also putting a fresh one on in the morning means you won’t be hit as hard with nicotine while sleeping.
I was not able to sleep with them myself.
Time flies, bit craving the nicotine. Stopped my puffer I think 5 days ago when on holiday. Now at home triggers are higher since that’s where I’m conditioned to smoke. Nowhere else basically…crazy how that works. The savings at up quit fast, unfortunately all of that will go to the increased gasprices. No reason to start again though. However I bought some small things that I link to the not smoking savings
I wanna grow up to be you! Congrats on your long term freedom!
Yes well done and congratulations meno . I’m 80 days in and dont even think about smoking now. I’m finding it much harder to stop drinking.
Day1 -again!
