Having some struggles

having some struggles with cravings. it’s feeling like a possession by a demon… very tough. i am a lacker in coping skills. help? thanks.

There are a few ways to handle cravings. You can literally go do anything to occupy your mind. For me walks and guitar helped. Draw, color, read, clean, bake, anything works… Treat cravings like a wave. Let the thought wash over you and then recede. Then get on with something worth your mind.

I always try to find a project around the house or just anything to keep myself busy until the craving passes. It will pass and you will be proud of yourself for not giving in.

Listening to music in a calming area always helpped me the most.

You did something crucial by posting here which is NEVER CRAVE ALONE. The worse thing you can do is be alone with your addiction when cravings hit. Do you have a may to git a meeting? Go for a walk, call and chat with a friend. Do anything you can to keep your mide occupied with anything but the cravings.
