Help getting through this alone

Hi. I’m Bobbi. In the past 4 years the longest I’ve been sober is 89 days. That was with the help of a rehab facility and this time I’m doing it home by myself. I also have to go to work after the first 2 days are over. How can I get through these work days withdrawing? I get so tired and irritated and I’m a cashier, so it’s frowned upon lol. Any ideas that can keep me from going back just because I need to get through work, are greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Talking Sober Bobbi! Congrats on your decision. Since you’ve done this before (89 days already!) I feel you sort of know what to expect from withdrawing. Know you can do this! And know you’re not doing this alone, because you are with us all now. For me having peer support, coming here and interacting, has been the difference between failure in the past and success now. Know you can do it! So many helpful good people here. Glad you’re with us now friend.

The only thing I can say as to your work with withdrawals, is that even a job isn’t worth it to stay addicted for. Right now becoming and staying clean is your no 1. priority and nothing can stand between that goal and you. I’m sure you can make it. Come here for help whenever needed. Wishing you all success Bobbi. Big hugs from me. :people_hugging:

Allow yourself to be yourself you dont have be tense because you have to keep up the front, your only human remember that. I suffer from that even right now I’m sitting in court gotta remind myself to relax I don’t have to be a robot because of my environment I find works the same, good job on the 89 days I’m only at 71 :ok_hand:
