I’m an atheist, but you have my support. Sobriety is what you make of it. It’s a state of mind and a way of life. It can be strong as a bulletproof vest or fragile as spider web–depends on you.

Hi @Joyw4 I’m a Christian. I have been struggling with porn and masturabtion for a while. Got one more day to a clean week.
I found this verse: Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
I Peter 1:13 NKJV

The only thing you can do is get working on your sobriety. Ill pray that god gives you sympathy and understanding of where she is coming from.Im sorry it hurts you in the process.
Time to get sober for good.

@Joyw4 I was thinking alot about you during our church services this morning. I wanted to share a couple of scriptures that came to mind. I hope it helps.

2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Galatians 5:1 “For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.”

Got my support too. I can imagine that what your daughter said really hit you hard. Congratulations for not immediately going to drink. And it’s good to hear that you’ve reached out for help and ppl who will hold you accountable. I pray that you stick to this plan and that God will indeed soften your daughter’s heart. She’s emotional and sometimes we make drastic decisions in order to gain control or try to feel better. God be with you and your family. And remember even when your family forsakes you,God never will!!
