Heroin withdrawl

Im on day 4 and its been a decent day so far, ive been moving more today. Barely got out of bed yesterday. My anger was awful! Havent felt hardly any anger today! Joel Olsteen videos always help motivate my mind even tho most people dont care for him. He really simplifies and motivates my mind and heart. Also type in virtual dopamine increase and the videos have noises that u listen to that increase your dopamine levels naturally

Ill start by saying this is just my experience. Im not a doctor, which you may want to consult in a doctor…
But If your at 5 days already, hang in there! If youve made it to 5, the worst of it should be over… It will only get better! My WDs lasted 5 to 7 days, and then felt better day by day. If youre on day 5 already, no need for subs at this point, in my opinion. Youve gone through the worst of it so no need to have to come off something else ya ya know… Now if you feel later on you want to take subs for maintenance, thats different… But yyouve came this far, keep going! You can do this! You are doing this!
I seen you say youre taking benzos to sleep. Be careful! I also saw your tapering off those. Make sure you taper, dont just quit! Benzo WD can be dangerous. So tapering is best. You may even want to see a doctor honestly if you need help.
Dont be afraid to ask for help! You dont have to do this by yourself! Its a “we” thing, not “me”. We can help each other stay sober. Hang in there, stay strong, we got this one day at a time!

There no real advice to give to a person… I mean try to sleep as much as possible but I know while withdrawing sleep comes few an far between but, the withdrawals last from about a week to possibly a lil more than two… like real bad withdrawals it depends on how bad u was on it… I hope you get thru it… keep ur head up an ur chin high…

I’m at about 36 hours. But I just got my first dose of Suboxone filled. My first time ever being to a doctor about this. Meditation. Videos. Read for borem, you’d be surprised. Video games. Exercise and yoga is great! Don’t give up! And go get some zquil or something for sleeps.

Ive taken suboxone for my pain killer addiction for about 6 months which kept me off of them and my bf said it would help with the speed withdrawals also but i didnt feel it helped me at all. But i think everyone reacts differently to things.

You have to be very careful as suboxone withdrawl is worse then opiate w/d and w/d last much longer

Have u tried suboxone

Yes ive done suboxone… fast tapers using subs always worked best for me. Taking no more the 2-4mg day one and drop from there. Your gonna have to take some wd symptoms. But not the brutal grunt of it when it peaks…

In 12 days I’ll be clean for 6 months. It’s a living hell!! If you’re on day 5, you should start feeling better at anytime. The thing that took the longest was sleep. I could not sleep for about a month and a half. Just stick with it. Spend most of your time in a hot shower or a hot tub if you have one. Walk and walk and walk. Force your self to burn energy. It’s hard but you play you pay. Keep at it pal you’ll be alright. The feeling of accomplishment is over whelming.

I’m still kicking ass. Almost to 6 months. I’m going through skating withdrawals but I’ll be alright :joy::joy: the fires were pretty far from me, but I did get a shit load of smoke. How are you?

Way to go on the year mark!! Don’t go back to smoking damnit!! That shits bad for you :joy::joy:

3 days you’re almost over them

Keep at it you’ll be alright. You’re stronger than you give yourself credit for

I think you’re right, you’re already 5 days in. I think taking any with the intention to taper will just spiral into use again. By all means see a doctor or recovery specialist for advice.

I’ve never used heroin, but I had a serious benzo (xanax and klonopin) problem. The withdrawals were so terrible, I’d just end up using again. So, I decided to do it under medical supervision. I tapered off over the course of a few months and finally got off it. The humane thing to do to yourself is taper off slowly and under medical supervision.

Not worth it if you’re already on day 5 you’re past the point of suboxone. Hang in there you got this. Don’t forget to stay hydrated because you lose lots of fluid during withdrawal. Depression is completely normal for the first while, trust me I feel for you. Look into setraline or effixir with your doctor.

Omg thank you so much! I’m really overwhelmed right now that people actually responded to me i feel so alone, do you have any idea how long it takes to feel somewhat normal?

Thank you thank you thank you day 6!
