Atheists are not one group of people. There is no mandatory organization, no set doctrine, nor any powerful unifying factor other than a radical thought that god doesn’t exist.
Some people when they first start their atheist journey are annoying about it. Allot of atheists coming out for the first time are angry. But those stages fade.
It’s the same with any new belief, I’ve encountered hundreds of people from various faiths who wanted to “save” me, but behind their intent was the same militant attitudes you perceive from an atheist.
Don’t let them get to you. If you believe, that’s all that matters.
