I celebrated half a year clean by getting my first tattoo. Pheonixes have a special meaning because they mean change and life after death and to me it means keep living your life even after someone you loved has gone

I am on day 18. Tonight is really tough for some reason. I am about to leave for a late night AA meeting to help me deal with what I am feeling. This will be the first late meeting for me. I have heard it is for those feeling like I do now. I went to a meeting at 10 this morning and felt really good. Maybe it is the pressure of the holidays and Thanksgiving tomorrow. Who knows.
