Hi everyone still clean from alcohol on my 27th day today over the weekend the heat in uk has been tuff not to drink in the sun but feel amazing for not doing it

I am doing a nightly online group right now. I don’t have any groups in my town, and the one I liked to go to before Covid (it was actually an NA meeting about 30 mins away) apparently doesn’t meet anymore. There are others around here, a little bit of a drive, and money is pretty tight for an hour’s worth of gas but I’m planning on finding one I can go to at least a couple times a month. I just haven’t been yet.
But good that you’re looking into it. I liked the one I used to go to. I’ll just say that even if you do like your first one, you might want to try a couple different groups anyway. The one I went to had a couple guys that took turns hosting sober bbq’s, or other activities too outside the meetings that was a really cool way to get out and spend time sober. There are sober hiking groups, all kinds of stuff besides just meetings. Definitely get out there and feel around, see who you meet. Lot’s of great people that can be a good influence in your life. Not all of them, naturally you won’t click with everyone but don’t be discouraged by that.
