How to cope with boredom for first week

Does anyone have any other ideas. I don’t drive.

Reading a novel helps me. It’s a distraction from the cravings, and it gives me something to think about when I’m not reading. Instead of thinking about when I’ll run out of booze, I’m thinking about what’s going to happen next in the story.

Thanks I’ve only been sober for six days and it’s been difficult at times, but getting threw it. I’m doing the 90/90 . But I’m also in an IOP program at my will. I appreciate all feedback.

I just read a lot and slept a lot at the beginning. Maybe check some books out at the library? Stay strong this weekend - you’ve got this!!

Thanks. I like this forum. Really helps a lot.

I write a journal, I write about what I was doing that day, how my day was going, and if I had the thought of using again that day, what was I doing at that time, this will help me realize what my “triggers” are, so I know to try and stay away from them.
I also run/walk
I talk to my friends/in-laws if I am having a rough day.
I hope this helps…just remember, u have this!!!
