My mom went out to breakfast with a friend of ours while I was working day shift at the restaurant today and told me something every motivational that our friend said. This friend recently lost her husband after a long battle with cancer and I’ve noticed she’s been drinking a lot more than she used to. Almost every time we go out, she gets drunk. Well, she was one of the first people I told about being sober and today at breakfast, my mom told me that our friend said to her that I was her inspiration to cut back on her drinking. It made me feel really great knowing that; as well as know, staying sober is not easy but to hear that filled me with even more motivation and determination to keep going.
