Why am I like this? My mother’s parents were severe alcoholics but I never knee them. My dad likes his beer at the end of the day and my mom rarely drinks. Why am I this way? Blackout drunk and do stupid stuff. I’ve been hospitalized twice and for in 2 accidents. I sneak drinking so my husband will leave me alone. Why am I like this?

It can be genetic so although you don’t know your grandparents there genes are still in you. Mine were the same way.
Fight. Dont go out laying down. Fight.

I feel the same way, but I do know that both sides of my family have major addiction issues, so I’m not surprised.
I’ve pretty well just accepted that it is what it is, and in attending AA meetings, I realized just how many of us are out there.
