I went to an AA meeting Friday for the first time. Maybe I shouldn’t have gone expecting to find a sponsor. Meetings are tough to find where I live. I’m kinda out in the Boone Docks. I’ve tried to go to numerous meetings previously but they don’t seem to have them at those places listed online anymore. The one Friday was seriously nothing but people 60+ years old who seemed to care less about anyone there. I introduced myself as being new and tried talking to people after the meeting. No one really seemed very social. I would love to have someone to text (or possibly call) when I feel like I’m about to lose my sobriety. Any ideas on finding the right sponsor, or any sponsor for that matter? This Thursday will be 3 months clean and sober but, it doesn’t seem to be getting any easier for me. I swear I feel a relapse coming on and I don’t want that. HELP PLEASE!
