Hello everyone, new to this app thing buh getting back on my recovery. My 8 week old is depending on me so i gota get it right this time. On my 3rd time in treatment an i pray it will be my last. Honestly i luv Recovery an envy anyone workin in the drug addiction field. One day i want to give back doin the same thing as a councilor or specialist wherever im needed an can help. But gota long ways to go. Bout to be 2 months clean. Been clean ever since my 2nd daughters birth. My kids deserve better from me so i plan to do whatever it takes so besides my program if this app can partake in help then im all in. Soooo buhlessssed like i tell everyone at my program everyday an ready for another day clean an sober!!!

Great to hear mate. Two months sober is a great achievement. Congratulations on the arrival of your 2nd daughter! I’m sure she’ll prefer the sober version of yourself too

Welcome @Sober4lyfe! As @Gabe.G said, I quit drinking before my son was born. I’ve been on the app off and on for almost 3 years now. I’ve done a couple of good sober stretches throughout the years. I’m currently at 103 days and not looking back! I swore to myself, when my son came into the world that was IT! I quit about a month before he came. The biggest gift I can give my son is to be present always and that means being sober. Truth be told, I don’t work a program. (Although, I don’t knock it and I know if you work it, it works) I just rock the app constantly. This place is amazing, the people here are full of knowledge and wisdom. We all are on different sober journeys yet they are one in the same. The biggest advice I can give is to read, read and read again. Post and don’t be a stranger. Get involved in conversation and add to the sober dialogue. You know it all starts with that day one. I was just lucky enough to string them together this time and finally say I’M DONE! You can do this and we ALL got your back! You’ll see the same people involved in conversations here. Pushing people to keep going and keep climbing that sober mountain. It’s these folks you want to align with. Actually, I guess I am working a program… it’s called Talking Sober and I am blessed to be here and share in people’s triumphs and give words of encouragement when they slip. Welcome to the family!

Thanks everyone so much for all the replies and the support. It means a lot. I take my recovery very serious. My program is going great and I have 80 days clean hey. Have another wonderful and blessed day clean and sober. So kind of going to a tough time with my 11 week old daughter in the hospital she has an infection in her chest and lungs and it’s on bed rest for a week maybe longer. So I am here with her right now reading my word of the day and Bible verse of the day and is trying to talk to her and comfort her really not had a little fat head. LOL I love her so much and any prayers are very appreciated. Again thanks everybody hope you had an awesome week and have an amazing weekend and continue being clean and sober and a strong as we all know you can be thanks everyone!!!
