While changing people places and things is important to recovery, the most important thing you have to change is yourself. I would talk to who ever is prescribing the methadone about a taper schedule. If you move you may not be able to get in to a new MAT program and would have to cold turkey detox which is very unpleasant. If you have the time and insurance to do so going to an inpatient rehab is always a good option as they will medically supervise your detox as well as give you tools for your recovery.
