I do ‘chat’ a bit too much on occasion. I don’t think I do it on serious threads, but I’ll be more mindful

I agree with Ariel, you could get flagged by someone for derailment and if it is a glaring case, it may well be approved. More often than not if someone brings the derailment to our attention, then we would split out the derailing posts to a new or existing thread.
