In need of encouragement for first day sobriety

I have made the decision to stop drinking, Today was my first full day sober in a long time, I know it will be a long long journey, but God willing with the help of my family and friends and all you fine people I will maintain a life of sobriety, Thank You

So glad you’re here! Today I hit day 30. Longest sobriety streak in 20+ years. Got here one day at a time. When I get too far ahead of myself I get discouraged or overwhelmed. One day at a time can add up! Glad you’re here!!!

It’s a great decision! Early days can be hard, but it’s temporary.

You’re 100% on the right track buddy, keep your head up, stay strong, reach out WHENEVER you need or want to my friend, seriously, the more you try, the more you care and vice versa! Really glad you’re here, you’re in the right place to start growing and there are a lot of people like you here who care you’ll find… :muscle::wink:

Welcome Anthony.
This is a great place to get support.
All we got is to do is be sober today. It sounds so cliche and it is. But that’s the truth. I’m not gonna worry about tomorrow or the next big thing. Today I didn’t drink. And I’m probably not drinking tomorrow.
I hope to see you around.
Lots of great helpful people around here. Use us. We got your back.
:pray:t2::heart:

Well done maybe try a meeting meet new sober friends who have been were you are now wish you well

Welcome and congratulations on day 1! Take it one day at a time, sometimes one hour or one minute at a time. Keep coming back and checking in :grinning:

Well done on day 1 and on choosing sobriety - don’t ever question that choice. I’m 29 days. I’m not in the one day at a time camp, I’m in the I’m done never drinking again camp. One day at a time is in my sobriety toolbox if I do ever need it. The best way to succeed is your right way. I would say keep your mind open and hear as many views and opinions as possible. I see support like a buffet…choose what’s good for you and leave what isn’t. Good luck, stay strong, never forget why you want to stop. :muscle::muscle::muscle:
