Is this possible for a person like me who consuming alcohol, smoking before 4-5 years?

Yes. Many people have 30-40+ years of alcoholism or drug abuse before they find AA. I’ve been a drug addict and alcoholic for 7 years

Hey no problem…its never too late to change your life. It may be harder the longer you have been using but its never never impossible.
Hopefully someday I’ll be free from all of this!

It’s all habitual.
You just need to create positive habits.
Being sober will seem so hard at first, but as time goes by it will becoming habitual just like smoking or drinking!

@Mnish1 i have been an alcoholic for 9.5 years although the wife says 10+ and a smoker for 15+ years. There is hope its hard but let us be the tool when you are lonwly and/or forced into hard poaitions… it has worked so far for me, although i have been soooooo close to starting again probably every day for the first 22 days… its a long haul but i am promised it gets better. I am doing alc first and started the 8th of August, smoking starts 8th of September… not looking forward to it as i suffer from anxiety and depression and it has always been my little, quiet happy place… guess i need to find a new one, and quickly.

@Mnish1 I hope so too. It takes alot of strength to fight this.ANYONE could be an alcoholic.I sometimes get jealous of those who don’t suffer from this but then I remember how much hard work it takes to fight something so demanding and controlling inside of you.& I realize that’s pretty badass…so I’d rather be badass.
